KAREN DUNNE

Upon completion of the training, you will learn and experience sequences that can deepen inner quietening, that can open the hips and other emotional centres of the body, and that can encourage self-reflection.

- Explore the relationship between Yin yoga and meditation
- Understand the precautions and the possibilities of Yin yoga
- Learn about meridians and how Yin yoga might influence energy flows
- Examine the differences between Yin yoga, Restorative yoga and dynamic yoga
- How to do Yin yoga in different ways (with props, without props and more)
- The history of Yin yoga
- Examine some of the theories behind Yin yoga

In a Yin yoga practice, all the postures are held for sustained periods of time (often five minutes). Within these long holds, there is an encouragement of softness and an emphasis on relaxing muscular tissue. Through these attitudes there can be a gaining of harmony and peace: so there is a greater ease, a deeper sense of balance, feelings of calmness and acceptance.

By the end of the training, you will have a flavour of this work and an appreciation for the depth of the study. It is hoped that this will support your own health and way of living and that you may begin to incorporate this learning into your teaching.

AMY PARRIS

Amy first discovered yoga as a way to support her own mental health and quickly experienced the transformative benefits of the practice. Inspired by this journey, she went on to complete her teacher training so she could create classes that support others who may be navigating similar challenges. Warm and welcoming by nature, Amy makes everyone feel at ease from the moment they step onto the mat. She currently teaches Foundations First and Align & Flow, guiding her students with compassion, clarity, and encouragement.

ANNIKKI LAITINEN

Annikki teaches with a gentle, mindful approach that invites students to slow down, release tension, and reconnect with themselves. She leads Stretch & Release, a class designed to improve flexibility, ease the body, and create space in both body and mind. Believing that yoga is for every body, Annikki offers a safe and calming environment where students feel supported and cared for. Her down-to-earth guidance helps people leave class feeling centred, restored, and at peace.

IRINA WALSH

Although fairly new to teaching yoga, Irina draws on her many years of experience as a step teacher to bring energy, rhythm, and creativity to her classes. Her teaching style combines a strong focus on alignment with a passion for helping students feel both grounded and uplifted. Irina currently teaches Release & Realign, encouraging her students to move with awareness, explore their strength, and enjoy the process. Dynamic yet approachable, her classes make everyone feel included and inspired.
